Choir Reboot after Covid 19
What’s been happening since the shutdown in March of 2020?
The Buffalo Niagara Choirs Board has been using a series of planning documents from a variety of sources around the world including a 40-page document from Chorus Connection which is a management software for choral groups used by choirs across America. In order to best organize our approach for retooling the children and adult choirs for the 2020-21 year, The Board of Directors has met every other week. The framework of our 7 step plan is as follows:
- Convene a team of experts
- Gather information
- Create a risk assessment
- Identify key activities
- Create a budget & strategy
- Make decision on season
- Make an announcement to interested parties
The GOOD NEWS is that even if we can’t actually come together and sing and perform until the beginning of 2021, we have been reevaluating our vision , mission and values and expanding options for our choir members and their families! Of the 7 Step Plan-some pieces are already in place. Our Board has established four committees to continue the work:

- Communication / Outreach
- Choir Recruitment
